IELTS Writing Task 2 Topic: Effective security measures in large cities to reduce the crime

Recently, security measures have sparked heated debates whether they lessen the number of unlawful acts. This assay agrees that security equipment can reduce victimization, and firstly, will discuss the beneficial effects of such measures, and secondly, will talk about some alternative implements. On the one hand, it has been statistically proved that lacking the security measures could launch the masses on a path of antisocial behavior. As a consequence, people are less likely to obey the rules where there is no electronic surveillance equipment. For instance, according to a research which was conducted by a Swedish law department, 10 percent of people always treat ethically in every condition, and 10 percent of them show an illegal action wherever they are. Interestingly, the behavior of 80 percent of people depends on the situation, and security measures play an important role to create a specific situation. On the other hand, although constant supervision of the masses could diminish crimes in society, they seem to have permanent consequences. Accordingly, authorities have to improve facilitating infrastructures, such as an effective educational system which is of paramount significance to enhancement of society morality. In addition, the benefits of these kinds of actions would definitely be long-lasting, thereby impacting the culture of society positively in the long term. Compellingly, not only expanding the education system could ameliorate the community culturally, but it also could immensely dwindle the cost of security measures such as CCTV. To recap, it is highly advised to consider extending the educational system as the most effective way to reduce the victimization in society. However, owing to the fact that anti-crime devices improve individual’s behavior, they could significantly decrease the number of crimes in the community.

Of late, a lot of advanced security systems have come into usage to combat growing crime incidence. I hold a strong belief and I agree that these cutting edge services would be beneficial. On the one hand, it is clearly evident the approaches adopted by felons have kept pace with the advances made in technology; so, as long as the security system would not be reinvented at the same rate would be for criminals' equipment, the results will be catastrophic in the long term by escalating the number of crime, particularly in megacities, where criminals can hind behind their anonymities by diverting suspicion away from themselves, in turn, all pervasive sense of fear in midst of citizens hamper their routine of life. Therefore, adopting new technology in domain of security can directly leads to descending in crime rate. On the other hand, applying new technology in this field enable cops to pursue criminals at their convenience and more efficient than when technology would not be involved. Moreover, by minimizing the number of workforce, descending incidence in the loss of life associated by cops who sacrifice themselves for assuring citizens of having security, is certain. For instance, with the advent of surveillance camera the number of crime contemplated as petty or despicable have lessened dramatically; albeit, there have been a lot of bias built into it, on the ground that many people conceive of it as being too intrusive; Despite enormous objections, this technology is still being used in all place from shopping mall, schools, firms to private home. In conclusion, the development of technology would be facilitative in all aspects, and the security is no exception.

Anti- crime devices are an function method for decreasing the violations in a mega cities. The essay agrees that it is a beneficial way toward this circumstance, and i shall delve into details in next paragraphs. To begin with, in this day and age due to growing rate of crime it is a dire need of anti-crime devices to monitor violations. Surveillance camera is an obvious example of these kinds of gadgets which control crime rate and place in various spots especially in huge cities. Indeed, surveillance camera is acting as the eyes of cops. The first thing that police address to after an offense is checking the CCTV footage which many places are equipped with and recorded the whole incidents; thus, they will become aware of set of information about what was happening in the crime scene. Additionally, police can identify the criminals’ identity and take a picture from the footage to try them down. More importantly, cameras providing police with the ideas of where victim or perpetrators can be. For example, when a burglary takes place in a house or store, anti-crime devices such as CCTV cameras are the most beneficial gadgets. It is worth noticing that metal detectors can be a huge help to anticipate vicious crimes. Metal detectors can be found in many places namely shopping centers and hospitals which make sure that peoples entering to these locations don’t carry the weapons or explosives. These kinds of devices survive the lives of thousands of people. With the advent of the technology the government and police could employ new innovations to descend the crime rate. It is not fallible to say that as technology has revolutionized our way of life the types of violation also have altered; consequently, the preventative measures should keep pace with new version of crimes. For instance, terrorists or psychotic person who with a malice aforethought intend to commit a crime in a public places anti-crime devices play an active role in saving people life. All in all, a couple of sustainable measures should be taken into consideration for the growth in crime rate. Anti-crime devices are the brilliant inventions for blurring the crime, like surveillance camera and metal detectors.

Using security measures appeared to be advantageous at first and it is become quite conventional in large city. However according to my mindset, imposing this activity can create more problems than benefits. Due to individuals' reactions, controlling by the government is irritative. Moreover, only a small minority of the society is criminal. To explain further, the main suspect for further of the crimes is the government. Numerous crimes can develop because of the self-centered political decisions. For instance, accelerating the inflation rate, increasing taxes and the unemployment rate can cause raising the poverty rate. Therefore, plenty of crimes such as vandalism, pernicious political activities, extortion, security fraud or even robbery, mugging, shoplifting, and so on are related to government policy. Additionally, my point of view is, getting free on condition, is the best approach to surveillance of criminals. In conclusion, unless the government treats well, the rate of anarchy won't significantly decline and also, every law that causes people getting anxious, it's absolutely false.

By my reckoning ,l completely disagree with the accelerating crime devices, In the case of crime, one must first find the root of crime, and then decide on the solution, In the first place, financially speaking , the accelerating inflation, and the fact that people work all day to satisfy their basic needs, which makes society vulnerable. Because people need social welfare, In the second place, ethically speaking, Uncontrolled emotions and prejudices put a person at risk in society,which requires psychological treatment in people and evacuation of emotions, so it is better to find solutions to solve the problem that prevent the spread of crime because the increase in crime devices has made crimes smarter.
