These maps distinctively show us the difference in the local industrial village of Stamdorf in three decades. Overall, a huge transformation has taken place in the village. There were new buildings built in the village by 2015. There weren’t many buildings in 1985 except for small roadside inns and a factory whereas in 2015, there were a large number of buildings like the housing estate 1 and 2, the industrial zone and the industrial staff quarter. The roadside inns on the left side of the Thames river were shifted to the right side of the river, in the south-east corner. There was a wooden bridge built across the Thames river connecting both sides of the Arlington Road which was later replaced by a steel bridge. The field was further moved to the south-west corner. The factory built-in 1985 was demolished and an industrial zone was built in the north side of the ride in 2015. Surprisingly, despite all the demolitions and changes, the plantations have increased in 2015 from 1985. |
The supplied maps illustrate the development of the regional industrial village in England called Stamford from 1985 to 2015. The village was completely transformed by the additions of residential areas. The Arlington road and The Thames river has been left untouched. There was a factory to the East side of the village in 1985, located next to the river and Arlington road. There were three small roadside inns to the right side of the road, and across the road a field was placed to the west side. The river which was passed the road was surrounded by couple of palm trees. By 2015, the factory had been destroyed. A new industrial zone had been expanded to the north side of the village and dotted by tress, this region was a pristine area in 1985. In the left side of the road three housing states had been developed. The field which was to the west side had been supplanted by three housing states, and a new field, and some trees were expanded in the northwest side. Small roadside inns were cleared and replaced with new infrastructure which connected the main road to the factory; moreover, roadside inns were relocated to the southeast. To the north side right next to the industrial zone new industrial staff quarter were constructed. It is worth noticing that trees had remained unspoiled, and some others were planted especially alongside the road.

Overall, as it can be seen, the area witnessed dramatic changes during the period. The most notable change was destroying the factory which was located on the banks of the river thomes in at the beginning of the period. In 1985, there were a number of palm trees that remained almost with no change during the period. There was also a filed in the west of the town which relocated towards the river. Towards the northwest, there were small roadside inns on the right side the north. In 2015, some high-rise buildings were constructed on both sides of the river. Many trees were planted throughout the village, most specifically, through the riverside. One of the most significant additions was emerging a new industrial zone exactly at the north of Stomford, with a staff quarters located to its immediate west. The small roadside inns were relocated to the southeast of the village, almost opposite to the housing buildings The wooden bridge over the river converted to a steel one.
